About Us
Pets Are Worth Saving, P.A.W.S., is an all volunteer group that has served Lauderdale, Colbert, and Franklin Counties in North Alabama since 2003. We are dedicated to spay/neuter initatives, TNR, and rescuing animals in need.
We do not have a facility; however, each animal that enters our program goes into an approved foster home and is fully vetted.
Mission Statement
Pets Are Worth Saving (PAWS) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to:

Facilitating the adoption of abandoned companion animals into permanent loving homes

Establishing and supporting a low-cost spay/neuter and TNR program

Providing emergency medical assistance for animals in need in our community

Educating people on the compassionate treatment and care of companion animals

PAWS is funded solely through our fundraising efforts and generous donations from the community. We do not receive any public funding and depend on donations, adoption fees, and community support to continue providing spay/neuter initiatives, TNR, and saving companion animals.
